Movemitra (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a software platform designed for packers and movers to manage enquiries, quotes, jobs, and team operations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website, product, and WhatsApp integrations.

2. What information we collect

We collect two types of data:

A. Information you provide to us

  • Name, business name, and contact details (mobile number, email, city)

  • Business details (job volume, services offered, branches)

  • Enquiries and job details you enter into Movemitra (pickup and drop locations, dates, BHK size, services selected, notes, etc.)

  • Login and account details for your Movemitra account (usernames, passwords – stored in encrypted form)

  • Messages or inputs you send us via WhatsApp, email, forms, or in-product chat (support requests, feedback, etc.)

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information

  • IP address and general location (city/region level)

  • Usage data (features you use, pages you visit, time spent, clicks, error logs)

3. Information collected via WhatsApp

When you connect your WhatsApp number or use Movemitra’s WhatsApp automation:

  • We process your customers’ phone numbers and message content as required to send and receive messages on your behalf.

  • We store structured data derived from conversations (e.g., enquiry details, quote info, job status) so you can see it in your dashboard.

  • Messages are transmitted via the official WhatsApp Business API, which uses end‑to‑end encryption between WhatsApp and the user’s device.

  • We do not sell or trade your customers’ WhatsApp data.

You are responsible for obtaining valid consent from your customers to contact them via WhatsApp and to store their data inside Movemitra.

4. How we use the information

We use your information and your customers’ information to:

  • Create and manage your Movemitra account

  • Capture enquiries and generate estimates/quotes

  • Send automated and manual messages via WhatsApp (e.g., quote sharing, reminders, updates)

  • Show all jobs, enquiries, and status in your dashboard

  • Track performance and profitability of jobs and campaigns

  • Provide customer support and resolve issues

  • Improve and secure our product (analytics, debugging, fraud prevention)

  • Send you product updates, onboarding information, and educational content (you can opt out anytime)

We only use the data for legitimate business purposes related to running and improving Movemitra.

5. Legal basis & consent

By using our website, product, and WhatsApp integrations, you:

  • Confirm that you have the right to share your customers’ data with us

  • Give us permission to process that data to provide Movemitra services

  • Agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions

Where required by law, we may ask you or your customers for explicit consent.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your or your customers’ data.

We may share data with:

  • Service providers: e.g., hosting, databases, analytics, email/WhatsApp API providers, payment gateways – only to the extent needed to provide our services

  • Legal and regulatory authorities: if required to comply with the law or a valid legal request

  • Business transfers: if Movemitra is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction (you will be informed where required)

All service providers are required to handle data securely and only for the purpose we define.

  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized staff only.

  • Passwords are stored in encrypted/hashed form.

No system is 100% secure, but we actively work to protect your data and reduce risks.

  • We keep account and business data as long as your account is active.

  • If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes.

  • You may ask us to delete specific customer records; we will comply where legally possible and technically reasonable.
